i hate it when people are talking about some funny thing that happened a while back but you have no idea what they are talking about.

and then you sit there with the completely blank and bored face.

and they continue to reminisce and yet they wonder why you're not talking.

sigh. outings with friend's friends are always the most awkward. 

but there are the occasional exceptions where the friends welcome you in and make you feel comfortable.
