I remember being at coffee bean at SS2 when it was still there and there was this girl (at least 14 years) and her mum.
She kept taking pictures of herself and proceeded to ask her mother to take pictures of her.
Granted this was a few years ago.

I used to be such a crazy fan of My Chemical Romance.

As much as I enjoy Childish Gambino's music, I am not such a fan of Culdesac. There are a few songs that are good but I still prefer his other albums especially Camp. No appropriate words can portray my fixation I have for this album. It's just awesome song after awesome song.

I remember when his album was released, I waited patiently for a couple of days for someone to put up the album on Youtube (Classy fan is classy fan) and proceeded to listen to it ALL DAY. it is just that good.

Recently Pitchfork reviewed Camp and gave it...wait for it...1.6 out of 10. I don't even. Pitchfork tries too hard to be hipster. However, they did give Toro y Moi an 8 point something for Underneath The Pine so my immense hatred towards them is somewhat diminished.

Childish Gambino is the only rapper I actually enjoy listening to and the only one I listen to. So it pains me when someone gives Camp such a terrible rating.

let me start off by asking, how is everyone?
now that i've asked what had to be asked, i can now complain.
i am having a fracking throbbing headache.

anyway, i will be going back to Perth in a few days.
i don't really know what to feel.
i'm sad cause i have to start the whole process of going to uni, attending lectures, doing tute work, readings -.-
but at the same time i'm happy because i'm definitely more settled now. i know my way around the campus, hence, i don't have to worry about not finding where all the lecture theaters and tute rooms are.
i know the shortcuts and i'm definitely more independent now.
it will also be interesting to see fresh faces, you know, with the new intake :B

whatever it is i finally choose to feel, i know that this semester will be better than the last.

let me tell you something about vitamin water bottle caps..they are hard to open.
i'm trying to be as quiet as possible cause i can tell that everyone in the library is stressing out and someone making a lot of noise would be met with consequences.
but i keep twisting the cap but it won't come off completely. i try to drink out of the bottle with a little of the bottle cap still attached but it's so hard
hence, i end up spending 15 minutes just trying to remove the bottle cap. almost everytime.
can someone please remind me to open it before i go to the quiet zone?

yea it was like 15 ringgit but i've been wanting to buy it since...i don't know. it's has been a while. considering that i lost my other pencil which i had since form 2(!!!!!), it felt right to get another pencil that will last me another 6 years. haha. hopefully more since it's RM15.

oh yea to make me feel really bad, i walked into Target and they were selling like the same pencil but in a different colour or something and it was cheaper. damn you imitations.

being very convinced by mars bar ads, i believe that it can be a replacement for my thursday lunches but i obviously can't operate a vending machine since i keep pressing the wrong buttons.
all i want is a mars bar that costs me 2.50(-.-) but i always without fail, get something else like skittles.
let me explain why skittles is a terrible meal replacement.
at first you'll enjoy it and think to yourself "oh. who cares if i didn't get that mars bar. this is pretty good"
after about 20 skittles you start thinking "all of them taste the same now..i better press the right button next time. waste of money"
also, the taste of skittles does not leave your mouth for...a while.

so, a mars bar may not be a good meal replacement but skittle is even worse.
nutella is always awesome. no justification needed.

ah, so it has come to that time of year again(although i'm a few days late..heh)

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

first of all we need to check back on last year's resolutions which were to exercise more and somehow get over my fear of heights. i can safely say that i've managed to do one. yes yes exercise more.
i would say that the only reason i could not have conquered my fear of heights is because it cost a lot to go rock climbing. i really wanted to but jesus i can't spend that kind of money.
so yes i have exercised more last year and hopefully will continue to. yay :S

with that done, we shall now finally go on to this year's resolutions.

Eat more consciously and healthily.
To be more positive.

and once again the latter will be the tougher out of the two. oh well, that's what new year's resolutions are for.

so here's to another year and to hopefully succeed the resolutions.

you do? good, because every time without fail, i always have to make way for people to walk. hence, this would mean that i am always walking through the plant. i swear this always happens to me.

i got to hand it to them, one utama's christmas display this year is amazing.
well, i'm only saying that because i've only seen two so far.
i will say though, it looks extremely realistic except for the pond cum ice skating rink.
however, there is always a catch. they made the ground to be like cobble stone ground. it's cute and all but it's really really unsafe since the rocks aren't really secured onto the ground. it's more like they placed some of them there. therefore, it can be quite terrifying at times especially when people are coming from all directions.
and that's not all. they also have this little bridge connecting to the other side of the place. i know you guys are working with limited space but having such a narrow bridge is scary since it's kind of steep too.
it's ok kids to just run across it like it's as wide as the penang bridge because no one will fall and die onto a bed of rocks.

Your new hero? Lauer? foolishness. He did a job. He added verbiage some of which Kanye wasn’t trying to admit to at all. Ye isn’t right in most of the odd publicity he somehow gets himself into by being outspoken and obnoxious at times, but then that’s what makes him Kanye. Love him or hate him… doesn’t matter. In my case I’m indifferent and a lot of his music I enjoy.

I like Ye’s honesty in the interview when he said no one actually feels good calling someone a name and being looked at as a hero at that time- because when he looked back on it it didn’t feel so good… and I also like the fact that although Beyonce had a shocked look on her face as the camera rolled to her during Ye’s interruption- but it was still glee and happiness on her face—-he was still giving her a compliment albeit fair or not, everybody is human. Even though he had an ignorant response he was entitled to his opinion, just not in that way or platform. That is what I think he was if any bit “owning up to” in this interview for both situations.

I don’t think he felt entirely accountable much at all. Replay it, he felt emotional, he felt embarrassed, but what he said he was sorry for wasn’t that Bush incident— it was that he was sorry he said something he didn’t have the grounds to speak on necessarily… an actual “I’m sorry” to former President Bush never came out of his mouth— only Lauer’s. He was sorry for making the mistakes in his own actions, and that those were the emotions that he felt at that time.

Also I enjoyed that at 6:16 KAYNE’s name was spelled incorrectly!!! HA! And for the record even though it’s “protocol” to play the tape in the background with the sound- that is a rude and disrupting and everyone knows it’s rude to have background anything while someone is talking. Most people just don’t speak on it. Kanye said “I’m hearing it while I’m trying to talk,” Lauer said “Just pick up,” this is just a classic look at how things are done.

And as for Bush; it isn’t the blame for Kanye’s racist comment or the fact that Kanye called out something true or untrue pertaining to Bush’s fails during presidency that Bush should get emotional about. But obviously people get upset with what hits the core, so now Bush your “emotional response” makes me think even less of you… and that it could quite possibly BE true.

And additionally more importantly for Bush— Gazillions of people died during your presidency in many wars for many reasons and Ye’s comment about you being a racist president was what you coined as one of the most disgusting moments of your presidency??? That’s a new low for you Bush. Sorry. That’s the part where Bush got the most emotional? Gosh, these egos and feelings. Be bigger, be better. Now that was disgusting.

i mean it's a great song if you don't listen to the lyrics or watch the video.
yea it's true abusive/dysfunctional relationships exist but the song in a way is like saying "hey, it's fine. don't bother to try to get yourself out of that relationship because you can't"

i really find it hard to understand why people are so obsessed about carrie bradshaw. i've never watched a single episode of it until recently.
by relying on thousands of women wanting to be like her and dress like her and also several cultural references to the character, i would think that she's what every woman wants to be i.e. independent,successful, "stylish" and so on.
however, this is not true. well..at least to me it isn't.
i've not completed watching all the 6 seasons but it's pretty clear that carrie says that she has no idea about men or so she claims.
her words are usually along the line of "men are confusing and they're the problem"
however, i feel that it's pretty obvious that she IS the problem in all her relationships. she's the reason mr. big and aiden both left her the 1st and 2nd time (or maybe more)
even in sex and the city 2 she managed to jeopardise her marriage by kissing aiden.
anyway, it puzzles me also that woman want to be like her. i may be saying this because i watch episodes back-to-back so her voice does become annoying and the things she does seem stupid but it's still mostly true.

the floral trend needs to retire..now.
seriously, i now see people in floral jumpsuits. yes..jumpsuits. jumpsuits are like to me quite hard to swallow since it makes your butt look huge no matter what size you are.
that's the thing about consumer trends (at least the ones that catch on) that bugs me. they love to integrate the trend into everything and suddenly you walk into a store and everything is in floral print and then everyone starts wearing floral prints then it hurts my eyes.
then i go on to see 7 people wearing the same dorothy perkins/topshop floral dress at the same place.
and then you have other kinds of "trends" like the leotard. omg. where do i even start?
leotards should only be worn by lady gaga, beyonce and ballerinas. period.
i don't even know why they sell them in the first place because where on earth are you going to wear your stupid leotard? maybe a lady gaga concert so people can grope your butt.
the thing is people who buy a leotard usually use with a skirt/any sort of bottoms which defeats the purpose of even wasting money on it since you can just wear a top and no one would know the difference.

people need to learn especially people here that just because it's from topshop doesn't mean it automatically looks cool. it doesn't most of the time. jc.

it drives me nuts when intelligent girls seem to only want to talk about boyfriends, ex-boyfriends, guys. i can't take it.

i really needed to say this.

if i were to elaborate i would be saying a lot of things i don't mean. well actually, when i am mad i usually say things i mean. i don't know if it's only me but if it is then why do people say that line all the time?

i mean when we are with people or friends we usually never say mean things to them to their face.

hence, when an argument is being played out and rage is in the air, it would only be normal that we say things we really mean. it's like a 'slip of the tongue is no fault of the mind' thing.then again people usually whip out that line to justify what they have said. why should we feel guilty for saying something we mean if it's the fact or how we feel? after all isn't truth what everyone wants from everyone.

i guess you could say anger is like alcohol where when there is too much, the truth will come out.

needless to say, it should be expected of me to twitch or roll my eyes whenever i hear that line.

passing by my secondary school the other day and seeing all the school students made me flashback to my schooling days.
i have to admit that i regret succumbing to peer pressure. regret trying to be noticed. regret not being myself all the time. now when thinking about it, it means absolutely nothing. it really doesn't matter if i'm friends with people who are "cool" and it definitely doesn't matter if i have to be "pretty".
i actually wish i spent more time just being me and not worrying what my "social status" was and how i looked in my uniform.
i wish current me could slap past me really hard. really hard.
don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed my schooling days but there will always be that small tiny regret in me.
looking at the "popular" crowd now, it's really clear that the guys who people thought were "hot" are really just douchebags. the girls who were "popular" are just shallow.

however, to say that some girls do it flamboyantly is kind of an insult.
if 'flamboyantly' is the better or nicer or more acceptable way to get attention, then what does that say about the people who think it is the better or nicer way?

Hi suraj here finally i agreed to blog as a guest blogger for Naomi's crapodelic :-)

Anyway I'm blogging about my experience today in Starbucks centrepoint bandar utama,there was this guy and his friend(female) they were having this conversation about his scandal's and stuff the best part is his friend she was advising him how to handle his keeps, i was like WTF rather then advising her friend not to do such thing she was supporting him.

After hearing all of his weekday and weekend girlfriend stories i overheard that his wife is also the same thing and the best part is they have kids I'm like what an awesome couple and parents they have become.I really felt like saying think of your kids a-hole.

At the end of their conversation what his friend aka the BITCH said is that she hopes her husband does not do something like this,i was like is she mentally retarded or something, i seriously hope that karma should hit this bitch real hard and soon

Moral of this incident: 1.there is no harm shooting people like this in plain sight
2.the word loyalty does not exist in their vocabulary

admitting these four things to suraj's friends or to certain people will end up with me getting the you-are-weird-or-some-kind-of-social-outcast face.
last week at shum's place, one of shum's friend (who's a girl) was talking about mamaks and shisha and football to shaun baihaiqi and suraj. unfortunately i was in the middle of that discussion and i was almost COMPLETELY lost. probably the only thing i understood was shisha which is unsanitary ok...seriously.

i don't blindly follow the world cup or what not just because it seems cool for a girl to like and/or "understand" football or to make myself appealing to boys (and this only goes out to girls who claim they understand football, just so you know) i'm sorry shum's friend but listening to you talk about the world cup only made me want to slap you only because you sounded really stupid talking about it but apparently it was very appealing to shaun. if it weren't for suraj covering my mouth, i would have said something mean. so i thank thee for that.

i don't have the urge to go to mamaks to watch football or hang out because i don't really get it. i don't feel the need to conform to society's idea of hanging out at mamaks and i don't think i ever will. i may sound like some sort of spoilt brat but that's my view and i will stick to it.

i have finally figured out how to make the cupcakes in teacups idea work out. i blogged about it over heeeeeeree. yea i know, i can't believe i'm still thinking about it.
so the idea came to me while i was washing my face and i remember reading somewhere that ideas come to you most often when you're in the shower.
anyway, the teacups should be like transparent plastic and patterns or doodles would be drawn onto the teacup with colourful markers or something. if the plastic thing doesn't work out, those cheap white teacups could be used as well.
..and that's all i came up with.

i am a savoury kind of person but desserts and sweets are like a fiesta for my eyes.

i have this mind set that cupcakes that look nice usually don't taste that great. i mean you put so much effort in the details of the icing and design that i'm pretty sure you would just use some super simple cupcake recipe which makes the cake really dry and bleghhh. i think the same when it comes to those fondant cakes. it's looks nice and all but you'll be eating more fondant than cake.

i love making cards. i really don't know why. it's probably from the million times they asked us to make greeting cards in primary school.
this may sound crazy but i already promised myself to make my own wedding cards IF i do get married.
thus, for these couple of months i will try to take my card making to the next level somehow.

just watched the hangover. yes i am a year late.
i can't seem to figure out why the movie only won one mtv movie award.
it's not so stupid unlike some comedies. that's the thing with comedies, there is always this fine line between stupidly not funny (to me but extremely funny to most boys because seeing people getting hurt is funny to them. go figure) and funny. a very obvious example of stupidly unfunny is those scary movie movies. once i watched meet the spartans and i did not laugh throughout the whole movie cause it was so stupid. but the two guys i went to watch it with were laughing hysterically.
yes, i am a very picky movie goer.
oh yes, and why did amanda seyfried even win an mtv movie award FOR JENNIFER'S BODY of all movies? it baffles the mind.
